O Give Thanks (1994)
Solo voice/two-part youth choir/keyboard. May also be sung by treble voices. May be sung a cappella. Text is from the Hallel, Psalm 118:v. 1-4. Joyous and energetic; a fun performing opportunity for youth choir.


Psalm 100- Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord (1984)
Unison youth choir/SATB/keyboard. A rhythmically energetic and upbeat piece with intriguing use of mixed meters. The antiphonal effect between youth choir and adult choir is enjoyable for both singers and listeners.

Psalm 150- Praise God In the Sanctuary (1995)
Two-part youth choir/SATB adult choir/keyboard. In 2008, Transcontinental celebrated the work of Simon Sargon, naming him its Composer of the Year and publishing several works, including this one. A melodious piece which depicts the sounds of the instruments mentioned in the psalm. Exuberant and full of energy.


Seekers of Peace (1992)
SSA/keyboard. The text was chosen specifically for the quotation in Pirke Avot (Sayings of the Fathers) referring to "Rodeph Shalom", meaning "seeker of peace," the name of the congregation that commissioned the work. A peaceful work in keeping with the teachings of the text.


Sing A New Song (1980)
Cantor and unison youth choir/keyboard. Suitable for young singers in that they repeat the Cantor's lines. Joyful in feeling.


Sing God's Praise (1980)
Three-part youth choir/keyboard. An excerpt from Sargon's full-length service for youth choir, Sing God's Praise. Recorded on Music at Congregation Rodeph Shalom (Congregation Rodeph Shalom, 1999).


Sing God's Praise (1980) (service)
Two and three part youth choir/solos/keyboard. Friday evening service with musical settings of liturgy. Currently in its second printing and performed in synagogues throughout the United States. A wonderful variation from the standard Friday night service and a meaningful way to involve a younger audience.


Three Choral Works from "A Voice Called" (SA/piano) (2008)
Two-part youth choir/keyboard. Three songs extracted from the cantata, A Voice Called, based on the writings and poems of Hannah Senesh, a hero of the Holocaust. Suitable for two-part youth choir or women's choir. A beautiful and welcome addition to Holocaust awareness programs in Jewish and mainstream venues, as well as concerts commemorating Kristallnacht or the liberation of the camps.

Three Israeli Songs (1989)
Two-part youth choir/keyboard. Three Israeli folk songs, popular in the 1950's and 1960's in Israel, expressing the love of the Jewish people for the land. These rhythmic and melodious songs are important from a historical point of view and are still very appealing to the youth of today. A good choice for Yom Haatzmaut (Israel Independence Day) or a program of Israeli music.
